Barbados singing sensation Rihanna took a break from her hectic schedule to herself, and to her close associates to aboard the Benetti Latitude luxury yacht. The 172 ft. wonder is known to have all amenities for a perfect vacation in water, and also pamper to the guests’ every need, henceforth is also costing the singing sensation $300,000 a week, enjoying her vacation on it. All of 5 decks, the charter yacht was created in 2007 by Italian shaping yard Benetti, whose stylish and earthy designs are displayed all over the boat.
The boat was hired by Rihanna, after the conclusion of her tours in the United Kingdom, which put her back on the top of musical charts once again. Her personal entrouge, along with her seemed to be soaking in every festive and luxurious comfort of the boat, apart from enjoying the Caribbean water without caring very much for onlookers. Facilities on board the yacht include 2 dressing rooms, and a spa which could cater to most whims and fancies of the passengers. Helping the cause is the accompanying staff of 15, who can cater to 12 guests with perfect ease. The main deck has the master suite which has its own studio and bathroom, completely sheltered in privacy from the rest. There are several spaces for dining including the formal dining room, and also a flamenco dining space. For recreation, there are facilities for sunbathing on the open spaces of the fly deck, and also rubber boats for indulging in water sporting activities. Hopefully for Rihanna’s male fans, she appeared in her swim suit on the deck soaking in the sun.

The notable feature about the interiors is the earthy tones and colors throughout. Also, the design of the yacht is uniquely done so that there is ample opportunity of sunlight and air to ventilate the insides, and also blend artistically with the ambience. The best examples of that are the guest accommodations. While reviewing Rihanna’s cruise, we were given flashbacks of the P-Diddy vacation on the ‘Soulmates’ mega-yacht. Though a bit bigger than this one, Soulmates perhaps had a bit more in terms of luxury than this one. As for us, we are happy admiring the vessels and their superstar passengers for now.

Coffee is the world’s most relished beverage and when it comes from an Italian premium brand like illy, it’s like an icing on the cake. The coffee brand that masters the art of designing cup and saucer is expanding its range of offerings with new limited edition pieces. The cup and saucer have been crafted by Bombay-born sculptor Anish Kapoor, who’s been living in London since 40 years.
The artist has used its unmatched approach and classic style to designing the cups and saucers that have metallic touch. These coffee pots have been designed in such a way that the cup and saucer catch and reflect light and create illusory designs that are a treat to watch.
By placing the platinum saucer with the hole in the center on top of the cup, which is also platinum, an impression of diffuse light is created whose dimensions are hard to fathom. The flickering reflections prevent the hollow space from being perceived instinctively,” as stated on the official website of illy.
This collection was designed by 70 celebrated artists of Kapoor’s team. These uniquely designed cups and saucer are available at $103 per set on eBay between September 14-27.

Chinese billionaire Huang Nubo spreads his wings in Iceland for an eco friendly resort project

Chinese Billionaire Huang Nubo and its eco friendly resort
Chinese Billionaire Huang Nubo and its eco friendly resortChinese Billionaire Huang Nubo and its eco friendly resort, which has run into rough weather for political and legal reasons.
At a time when world leaders have spoken at length regarding the economic and political power Asian nations hold for the future, especially China and India, a billionaire real-estate investor is now wrestling with the government of Iceland regarding his eco friendly resort project. Mr. Huang Nubo, Chairman of Zhongkung Group, has put in his bid to acquire close to 300 sq. kilometers of area including the picturesque landscape of the Vatnajokull National Park, so that he can build his eco-resort which will have its own golf course amongst others.
The region concerned encompasses the Vatnajokull National Park, and also the neighboring Jokulsargljufur National Parks including the 2nd longest river of Iceland, which happens to be a major source of water for the ice-covered country. As per plans, Mr. Nubo is looking to join these 2 areas to create a mini-town cum resort with eco friendly mechanisms of operations. But as we mentioned, the whole idea is on hold for various legal and political criticisms it has received. According to Icelandic law, there is a strict restriction on buying of property by foreign nationals in the territory of the country. If the deal goes through, it could be a huge compromise on the legal structure of the land. Also, Iceland is a very important country in terms of international links between North America, Europe and Asia, especially for trade and commerce. The resort project, if allowed, could give the Chinese establishments an unfair stronghold on the region, thus opening an avenue for their monopoly in the long run, as some eminent political scientists say. We are not politically judgmental, but the question has certainly been doing the rounds in international circles.
On the other hand, looking at the tight economic conditions of Iceland, especially after the financial collapse of 2008, the country now faces an uphill task of rebuilding its once flourishing economy, which is currently crippled due to the crisis. On paper at least, the deal could do a lot of good for the nation’s tourism industry and overall economy, but only careful analysis and conclusions drawn from there would show any roads of progress in the matter. Till that time, we are keeping fingers crossed for this ‘freezing’ new eco friendly project to reveal its details.
