The Chinese seem to have taken a special liking for high-end cars in recent times, including Bentley. We had earlier shown you the limited edition Coupe Continental GT, which had orange and magenta colored chassis and other components. This time, it’s a set of 10 Bentley Continental Flying Spurs limited edition for Chinese buyers, which have been given leather and rare wooden trimmings on the inside to create the exclusivity factor of these cars. Done in partnership with British designing firm Linley, there will be rare wood work of chestnut, rosewood and walnut apart from individual hand stitched leather fittings.
More than the exteriors, these Bentleys have undergone the major changes inside. Whether it’s the roof console, door panels, or even the leather seats, each part has been redone with craftsmanship and precise detailing. The off-white leather seats feature burnt oak stitch work, where as the consoles and panels including the picnic tables have been given ‘wooden’ fittings with a single grain pattern. This would mean, all of the wood come from the same piece. And to remind the passengers of the people behind this classical redo, the logos of Linley and Bentley feature at multiple places. The other unique addition will be inside the rear seat console, which is where the humidor machine will be fitted. Though, no one would like to smoke inside, but for those who do, they can store and retrieve their cigars from inside the console without worrying about loss of flavor and texture.
Bentley seems to be on the move for further pampering these 10 elite customers from China. They have included a leather hand stitched bag, a cashmere blanket, luggage tags and other memorabilia with the brands’ logos engraved on them. While we spend our time describing this limited edition Bentley, you could perhaps look at our coverage of the Imperium Continental GT, built for British customers that got a unique exterior makeover.
