Domino’s pizza restauran plans on MoonDomino’s pizza restaurant on Moon
A trip around the world is so passé. The latest luxury travel popular with the superrich is a trip to space. With all the competition heating up in the spacecraft area, which now includes futuristic modes of transportation, like the Bloon, which will introduce space journeys for customers at a lesser cost of $156,00 per person, to travel up to a height of 36 kilometers above the surface, within 5 years from now, besides the big players like like Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic, the hospitality sector is all gearing up to play their part. We have recently told you about Russia’s Orbital Technologies plans to create space hotel priced at $1 million per visit, and the Galactic Suite Space resort, the latest in the big players in the hoard to serve the space travelers is the pizza giant, Domino’s. Domino’s Japan has announced plans to open the first pizza restaurant on the surface of the moon.

The details of the project include a rendering of the construction plan for a dome-shaped concrete Domino’s restaurant on their site, developed by a construction firm Maeda Corp, with an estimated cost of about $21 billion.
The move seems to have triggered from the rival pizza chain, Pizza Hut, which became the first company in history to deliver pizza straight to outer space, back in 2001. The Pizza Hut chain revealed that it paid the Russian space agency about $1m for the promotional stunt, including footage of Mr Usachov flashing a thumbs-up after eating the pizza, and for pasting the chain’s logo on a rocket last year.
