When Ermenegildo Zegna started operations in 1910 in his hometown of Trivero, he was actually embarking on a journey which would set him apart in time due to his innovative design and the creativity involved in that. This culture has been nurtured from generation to generation and spread over a large part of the world including China. To commemorate the 20th year of operations in the Asian country, Ermenegildo Zegna brings a limited edition collection which includes a Girard Perregaux watch, Vertu mobile handset, cuff links, and special wool fabric suits.

The Girard Perregaux watch which will have a rose gold chassis of 18K purity also features sapphire crystal covering and case back which are scratch resistant, and 40 jewels in its GP04C0 mechanical movement. The frequency is pegged at around 28,800 vibrations an hour, and the power reserve is of 40 hours. The strapping is brown alligator leather stitched with the Ermenegildo Zegna logo.

The Vertu Handset too has generous use of 18K rose gold in the chassis,and front features handcrafted signature v-shaped sapphire crystal keys, which add up to a total of 106.95 carats. The central selection key is red ruby. Looking at the back of the handset is the brown alligator leather with a single pattern throughout, and golden screws fixing the leather covering, and the engraved Ermenegildo logo. Also stylists from company will render a special personalized service of advising customers regarding their overall styling.

The cufflinks

The cufflinks too are 18K rose gold, with 2 pairs of rubies on the front, and a single one on the tail end. Square in shape, they are symbolized with engraving of the logo, and also the emblem of the 20th Anniversary of China operations of the designer brand.

Fabrics

Finally the fabrics, which will also feature in the collection, are available in 2 varieties; Pin-stripe worsted fabric symbolizing the bamboo which is an emblem of longevity in China. The 2nd is a double wrap fabric, which is plain on one side and the other a pin-stripe pattern. They will be selected by the customer, who will have a specially tailored suit for them.

This special collection will feature only 20 units of each of the items we mentioned. They are in accordance of the 20th Anniversary event of Ermenegildo Zegna in China, though the price tag hasn’t been established as yet.
