Collaboration between two brands for a noble cause has become immensely popular nowadays, and have a special appeal with the luxury shoppers. One such collaboration has been formed by MINI, the British car maker and Canadian design duo DSQUARED2, who are diligently working to give fashion industry a new dimension. Both the companies partnered to create a flashy neck scarf as an initiative to fight against HIV/AIDS.
The scarf has been inscribed with the sketch of MINI, Red Mudder car. The designer duo Dean and Dan Caten created the scarf in a very trendy way with the design of maple leaves on the doors of the car and DSQUARED2 logo on its windshield. The nameplate of the car in the scarf mentioned the birth year of the designer duo. The scarves are limited in numbers and will be available on MINI website from 16th September with the price tag of $69. The proceeds will go to AIDS LIFE, a nonprofit organization that works against AIDS. The designer duo says:
Our scarf is the new season’s must-have for all fashion lovers who not only want to look good but are also active and committed types.
The official premier for the launch of “Red Mudder Foulard by MINI & DSQUARED2” took place on 8th of September at the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Milan. MINI has been associated with AIDS LIFE since 2001 and since then the contribution by the company towards the AIDS patients has been recorded as half a million Euro.
