When it comes to ecstatic instruments, Gibson Guitar holds a special place. Gibson dates from the late 19th century and has created some of the world’s most melodious music as many celebrated artist owns the same brand guitars. One such artist was Ray Whitley, a celebrated singer and movie star of 40’s, who collaborated with Gibson in 1937. Their collaboration resulted in an amazing, one of a kind guitar named as Super Jumbo (SJ 200). This guitar convoyed Whitley in many concerts and since then many of his fellow artists started using it for their performances. Replicas of the guitar as special edition will be displayed at L.A. Live’s Club Nokia for Country Music Hall of Fame. The proceeds will go to the museum’s annual fund-raising event named as ‘All For The Hall” event.
The guitar is built exactly the same way the original Gibson SJ 200 which was made by Luthier Ren Ferguson. However, few more features have been added to the instrument. This lot has been adorned with diamonds as the “i” in Gibson’s famous logo has a diamond in its dot. Apart from diamond, precious stones have been embellished to the bridge pin.

According to the Henry Juszkiewicz Chairman and CEO
Gibson is unapproachable of our longstanding support for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. It seemed to us the best way to support the enlargement debate was to do what we do best: make a pleasing guitar, such as this idol of nation music, the J-200, in sequence to inspire vital contributions. This guitar is a fantastic illustration of craftsmanship and tradition. Gibson is respected to have been a part of the creation of nation song since the beginning, and we conclude and support the efforts of the museum to safety the music’s abounding history.
The proceeds of the sale will be given to the museum for its expansion that will elevate its size from 140,000 block feet to more than 350,000.
