For years, Macallan has gained its popularity in serving nothing but the best. Last year, we saw the 50-year-old bottle of Macallan whiskey sold for a record $18,650 at the world’s biggest whiskey sale in Glasgow. This year, Macallan has another great offering for you i.e. its 64 years old single malt that will cost you $60,000 per shot. This whiskey is being served at the Montage Beverly Hills, a lavish hotel situated in Golden Triangle near Rodeo Drive.
This magnificent hotel is adding to its reputation with a launch of a new lounge called £10 (Ten Pound). This restaurant is the only official outpost of single malt distillery The Macallan in US. Other than the super expensive Macallan, the lounge also serves less expensive drinks. This lounge has been named after Scottish ten pound note that has a representation of the traditional copper stills of the landmark The Macallan Distillery. To keep the name of the lounge real, they are serving The Macallan 12 years old single malt, which costs 10 Scottish pounds (about $16) per glass.
The ambiance of the lounge is decked up with dark wood paneling that creates a cozy environment. For those who are planning to spend an evening there, they will have to do prior reservations. The lounge will cost you $50 per person for a minimum alcohol drink.
