Celebrities and uber-rich have always been revered, and to mark their anniversaries and achievements, there have been limited edition memorabilia of a large variety, including wines. The latest figure to fall in that league is Barack Obama who has been dedicated a one-off bottle of American made Italian wine by wine enthusiast Berlucchi. We have seen similar limited edition versions in our coverage of the Bottega Denise Focil wine collection, which blended some of the finest of verities, to create an exclusive range. But now, it’s the United States president who gets one dedicated to him to mark his 50th birthday, which will be in August this year.
President Obama has been a wine enthusiast of sorts and is known to have a sizeable collection of 1000 bottles in his home in Chicago, and boasts of some really fine Italian and French varieties created in the United States by people from these countries. His particular favorite is known to be the wines from Gianni Zanin in Virginia, which are known to have distinct characteristics and to the liking of the president.
This bottle in question is a special one with the covering made of a special white optical material with a blue capping towards the top, and the red zig-zags on the body. It reads ‘Happy Birthday Mr. Obama’ in color patterns which bear similarities to the United States national flag, creating an overall unique and rather befitting appeal to it. It also mentions the wine variety in a large golden oval with black lettering mentioning ‘61 Brut Franciacorta’ which is expected to strike a chord with President Obama.
Like all good things, this bottle is going to be a one-off version. But speaking about the president, he would perhaps feel a lot more proud now with such a unique dedication for him.
