A bluefin tuna sold for nearly $400,000 at a Japanese fish market

The world's most expensive tuna
A 712-pound bluefin tuna caught near the fishing town of Hokkaido, Japan, sold for nearly $400,000 at an auction at Tokyo’s Tsukiji central fish market in January 2011.
The fish was split by a Hong Kong restaurant chain and upscale Tokyo sushi bar.
