The ever popular Grisogono party has always been known to be a gathering of the high, mighty and very obviously, super-duper rich. At least, that’s what you have to be, if you eye the “blinged” version of the Maybach 62-S Saloon.
Unveiled at the renowned Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the southern France city of Cap d’Antibes, this version of the Maybach 62-S Saloon comes with a diamond studded armrest, located at the backseat of the vehicle. If the co-sponsors are to be believed, plans are being hatched to introduce future versions of this automotive marvel, which would have even more gemstones and precious rocks embedded in them. These gems could be placed on the seats, the gear shafts or even the steering wheel of the car. Hosted jointly by luxury watch-maker Grisogno, and car-maker Maybach, this gathering was meant for the elite guests with extraordinarily large bank accounts and a taste for luxury, which transcends those that one cannot normally fathom. To give this “gemmed vehicle” the international exposure, the co-sponsors (Maybach & Grisogno) are looking to showcase it at the Dubai International Motorshow, in the month of December this year (shown below).

Blinged vehicles have been in the news over the past few years. Some of the prime examples are the Gold plated Ford truck, Volkswagen Beetle, Bentley or even the diamond-drenched Mercedes Benz. Literally dazzling and going high on the bling factor, these toys continue to be the rich boys’ pride and envy of the others. So fingers crossed, let’s wait for the next bling shot!
